Carol A. Ferris

Carol A. Ferris, age 76, of Warsaw, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was born on January 20, 1950, in Angola, IN, and was raised in Pleasant Lake, IN, by the late Robert and Betty (Baker) Ferris. Carol graduated from Angola High School in 1968, where she was an exceptionally studious student, and later continued her education at Manchester University.

Carol was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and faithfully served as a full-time minister. She was previously employed with Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw, IN, where she worked for more than 10 years. In addition, Carol diligently operated her own cleaning business for more than 40 years.

A gifted and talented artist, Carol specialized in painting, murals, and portraits. She also used her artistic talents to design and create backdrops for Collier Dance Studio. Carol was a talented musician who enjoyed playing both the piano and guitar.

Those who knew Carol will remember her wonderful sense of humor, warm personality, and ability to never meet a stranger. She genuinely loved people and enjoyed talking with everyone she encountered. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished the opportunity to study the Bible with many people throughout her ministry.

Survivors include her brother, Steven Allen (Diane) Ferris of Dallas, TX; her sister, Linda Welton of Peoria, IL; her brother, Joseph Henry Ferris of Williamston, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and a very long list of cherished friends and individuals whose lives she touched and who will lovingly remember her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, cremation will take place. No services are scheduled at this time.
