Carol Ellen Broughton was born October 31st, 1945, to Lathan and Katherine Ross in Detroit, Michigan. She married Jerry E. Broughton on November 30th of 1963. Carol was a retired school bus driver for Jefferson and Dundee public schools for over 20 years. Carol loved watching and holding her many grand babies, Christian music, crocheting, garage sales and thrift store. She was a faithful member of Luna Pier Baptist Church. She was loved by her husband and her four daughters very much. Carol leaves behind her husband, Jerry and their four daughters; Cyndy, Susan, Mary Jane and Miranda. Eight grandchildren: Bradley, Jessica, Alexis, Jennifer, Gabby, Sarah, Katie and Nicholas. Eleven great-grandchildren, Lilly, Hunter, Fisher, Daisey, Starlet, Violet, Sailor, Jack, Andrew, Luna, Waylon and Riley. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother (Thomas) She also leaves behind three brothers: Ronald, Jeff and John. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cremation took place at Hess Funeral Home in Lagrange, Indiana. A Celebration of love & life will follow later in the Spring.
