Brenda S. LeCount, age 75, of Howe, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Life Care Center LaGrange in LaGrange, IN.  Ms. LeCount was born on April 10, 1949, in Fremont, OH to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Stull) Skeens.  Brenda graduated from High School in Toledo, OH and then continued her education at Glen Oaks Community College, where she obtained a certificate in accounting.  When she was still residing in Ohio, she was employed at a local bakery and luck had it that she would end up meeting her future husband, who happened to be a vendor that the bakery worked alongside of.  On February 16, 1991, she married Clifford E. LeCount.  Brenda wore many hats during her lifetime when it came to her professional work history.  She was an assistant manager of Dunkin Donuts for nearly 10 years off the Toll Road near Howe, IN.  She assisted making wedding cakes for a few seasons out at the Klinger Lake Country Club in St. Joseph County Michigan.  Then she retired from Walmart in the accounting department as a fully vested employee after 25 years of dedicated service.  Brenda loved the pansies flower, collecting tea sets, crafting, needlework, puzzle books, and reading.  She was also an avid fan of hot air balloons and enjoyed partaking in the Battle Creek Balloon Festival in Battle Creek, MI.  Brenda was known to always do the right thing ethically.  She had a huge heart and always put her family and loved ones first.

Survivors include: Daughter, Gail LeCount of Sturgis, MI. Daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" and James Hendricks of Howe, IN. Grandchildren, Debbie and Greg Miller, Kendra Rustad, Jonathan Shartzentruber, Rebecca Hendricks, and Elliot Hendricks. Brother, Daniel Skeens of Temperance, MI. Nephews, Daniel Skeens, David Skeens, and Darrell Skeens.

Brenda was preceded in death by her Parents and siblings; Rebecca Scurlock, Richard Skeens, and David Skeens.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 1:00pm with visitation prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Gary Cox.
