Arnold Miller aka "The Legend," age 81, of Topeka, IN passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. Mr. Miller was born on March 31, 1943, in Tribbey, KY to the late Robert and Geneva (Allen) Miller. On May 10, 1963, he married his wife of 54 years Barbara Kay Miller. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2017. On August 9, 2019, he married Beverly Jean Baird at the Green Chapel Church in rural Wolcottville, IN. For 40 years, Arnold worked diligently at Newnam Foundry in Kendallville, IN. Arnold was an outdoors enthusiast, and he loved to go hunting and fishing. He was nicknamed "The Legend" for his epic storytelling skills and life adventures. He truly lived life to the fullest and experienced a thousand lives while on earth. Arnold was a proud "hillbilly" and enjoyed his southern roots. He was known for his southern dishes even though each didn't have a formal recipe attached. He was a prankster, enjoyed joking, and often could be found watching old westerns. Arnold was a good man, full of love and kindness, and was a role model for many. He loved his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and provided for them all to his best abilities. He will be deeply missed however, "The Legend" will live on in stories for years to come.
Survivors include: Spouse, Beverly Jean Miller of Topeka, IN. Son, Johnny Dean and Angela Miller of Wolf Lake, IN. Daughter, Sandra Kay Miller of Goshen, IN. Grandchildren, Travis (Jessica) Miller, Shane Miller, and Amanda (Tim) Wagner. Great-grandchildren, Charlotte Wagner, Boyd Wagner, and Dana Miller. Brother, Johnny Miller of Ohio.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and 1st wife.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00pm with calling one hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.
Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Topeka, IN.
Officiating the services will be Pastor Billy Fields.
Memorial donations may be directed to Liberty Baptist Church.
Arrangements and care provided by Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
