Barbara June (Trittipo) Fought

Barbara June (Trittipo) Fought, age 73, of Shipshewana, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Ms. Fought was born on June 12, 1950 in LaGrange, IN to the late Paul and Helen (Conrad) Trittipo. She graduated from Westview High School in rural LaGrange County. Then she continued her education earning an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from a college in Columbus, OH. Barbara worked as a teacher’s assistant for over 20 years at Westview School Corporation before retiring. She was a scrap book enthusiast, fan of harness horse racing,and enjoyed dogs. Barbara loved watching Purdue sports, the Portland Timbers soccer team play, and watching NASCAR racer, Martin Truex Jr. She was dedicated to supporting her two sons through and through and was an avid fan of anything they were involved with. Barbara loved her children, her family, and will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Son, Chris (Suzi Lamb) Fought of Salem, OR.
Son, Jeff (Natasha Smith) Fought of Astor, FL.
Sister, Mary Ellen (Ron) Jones of Sturgis, MI.
Brother, Jim Trittipo of Niles, MI.
Brother, David (Linda) Trittipo of Wolcottville, IN.
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Knowles.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00pm with visitation prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the services at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, IN.

Memorial donations may be directed to the ARK Animal Shelter.
